(BUSAN=Yonhap News) BEXCO announced on September 18 that it will host the 20th International Microscopy Congress in 2022.

BEXCO successfully won the bid to host the Congress after competing with Cape Town, Madrid, Maastricht and Portland through active promotion activities in Sydney in cooperation with the Korean Society of Microscopy (KSM), Korea Tourism Organization and Busan Tourism Organization.

The Congress will be held from September 25, 2022 for six days and attended by 3,000 people from 37 countries.

"As we won the bid after the first attempt in 2014, we will do our best to host the biggest event in history," said Yu Im-ju, the President of KSM.
