Offshore Korea 2018 to be Held in Busan

According to Yonhap News,

(BUSAN=Yonhap News) The Fourth Offshore Korea 2018 will be held from October 10 to 12 at BEXCO to promote development of domestic offshore plant industry.

This year's event will be attended by 253 companies from 35 countries in 820 booths, and will include export fair and technology conference.

During the exhibition in 2016, 421 companies from 31 countries participated and made 4,976 contracts with the amount of USD 3.975 billion.

In the seminar with the theme of 'The Present and the Future of Offshore Decommissioning,' the offshore decommissioning and the prospect of the industry in the Asia Pacific Region.

The Ministries of Ocean and Fisheries of South Korea and Indonesia will make presentations on the Korea-Indonesia cooperation project on decommissioning and recycling and the government support.

In the technical Session, participants will share new industrial technology and information to occupy the global market by combining industrial revolution and the offshore.

On October 10, an export fair will be hosted by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

The export fair will be attended by 100 offshore equipment companies and 60 buyers with the intention to place orders.
