(BUSAN=Yonhap News) The "Busan Startup Plus Center" opens on December 12 to support new startups in the region.
The center provides working spaces for young entrepreneurs and serves as a business incubator for Busan's young startup companies.
The center is located at the third and the fifth floor of the Hanshinvan building in Jeonpo-dong with 20 business incubator rooms, an administration office, and an open space.
About 80 entrepreneurs from 34 companies including new and those with less than 1 year of experience use the center for a year, without having to pay for the space.
The Busan Startup Plus Center has been built based on the government fund KRW 150 million the city received from winning the "Region-Led Startup Business" contest and the city fund of KRW 150 million.
The Busan Economic Promotion Agency is responsible for the operation of the center.
The Busan Startup Support Center located at Pukyong National University provides working spaces to about 360 people from 167 companies, which has experienced difficulties to meet the increasing demand for space.
