According to Yonhap News,
(BUSAN=Yonhap News)Eight short films supported by Busan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation have been invited to numerous international film festivals.
The center said on January 11 that eight films applied for 'support program for short films to enter international film festivals' were invited to 33 film festivals last year.
The center's support program includes subsidies for English subtitles and festival entry fees, to help short films having scant chances of being screened without invitation to film festivals.
It increased the number of recipients from five to eight last year.
In particular, a film "May 14th" was invited to fifteen films festivals and awarded at Hawaii International Film Festival and Toronto Korean Film Festival.
The center will continue to provide support in introducing selected movie contents to an international audience this year.
