(BUSAN=Yonhap News) Busan city announced on January 30 that it will provide support for creation of 2,000 jobs, having secured KRW 3.3billion from "2019 regional innovation project", a public contest for job creation offered by the Ministry of Employment and Labor(MOEL) .
Busan city will put a total of KRW 4.2billion, a combination of national budget and local budget of KRW 900 million, to support job creation starting next month.
Firstly, it plans to create 1,100 jobs by supporting education and training in innovative growth, with an aim to nurture talent fit for the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
It will also create 900 jobs by supporting employment stability for the employment crisis industry and boost competitiveness of the people working in Busan's specialty industries.
This project, led by the Busan city government and MOEL's Busan branch, is participated by a consortium of 16 job creation-related organizations including Busan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Busan Employers Federation, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, and Busan Film Commission.
