(BUSAN=Yonhap News) Busan city announced on March 5 that it will will provide grants, as a measure to revitalize industry-academia research cluster in an innovation city, to an enterprise related to relocating public institutions.
The city plans to provide KRW 1.3 billion grants to companies, universities and research centers who move in to an innovation city, in the form of 3-year rent, etc.
For the companies moved into since 2017 as well, grants will be supported up to 2 years, KRW 2 million per month at max.
A city official said, "We plan to establish industry-academia-government cluster and attract companies related with relocating public organizations by providing affordable rental spaces to companies and research centers moving into an innovation city."
The number of companies moved in to Busan innovation city is 126 in total, combining 23 in Munhyeon innovation district and 94 in Centum innovation district. The city expects 58 more move in this year.
