(SEOUL=Yonhap News) Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) announced on March 24 that the 6th BUSAN INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW 2019, jointly hosted with Busan Metropolitan city, will be open at BEXO and Yacht Stadium, Suyong Bay on March 28-31.

Busan International Boat Show has been held since 2014 to promote Korea's marine leisure industry as high value-added new growth engine industry and expand the base of related industries.

1,053 booths will be set up at the exhibition, participated by 117 yacht manufacturers and other companies from home and abroad.

MOF explained that "This year's exhibition and experience events will provide visitors with lots of things to see and and do in water sports, fishing, and camping, as well as yacht and boat," adding that "we also prepared a program to support expansion of sales channels of participating companies."

This year, the show will give more chances to experience leisure and ocean exhibition. Yacht and boat instructors will stay at Yacht Stadium, Suyong Bay to help visitors get familiar with marine leisure. At Bexco, RC boat control experience, virtual reality experience will be offered.
