(BUSAN=Yonhap News) SMEs from Busan participated in the US consumer trade show and achieved to sign USD 5 million deals.

Busan city and Busan Economy Promotion Agency said on April 4 that eight SMEs based in Busan participated in "2019 ASD Market Week" held in Las Vegas on March 17-20 and achieved USD 49.6 million deals.

ASD Market Week is a consumer product trade show, participated by about 45,000 buyers from more than 90 countries, every year.

From Korea, Busan was the only city to take part in a group booth.

Eight SMEs including Sun World Korea showed off high-quality products for competitive price.

Companies participated during four-day trade show had business meetings worth USD 59.1million, and signed deals worth USD 23,600 on site and USD 47.2 million potential deals.

The CEO of a company participated in the trade show said, "As if proving its reputation as the largest consumer trade show in North America, it was a great opportunity to understand the trends of US market and interests of buyers, and we signed on export contracts worth more than USD 200,000 on site thanks to business meeting focused on B2B".
