According to Yonhap News,

(BUSAN=Yonhap News) On July 4, A footware convergence hub center opened to support the footwear industry in Busan.

The center, located in Sasang-gu, is built in the total area of 20,493 square meters, with KRW 43 billion investment.

The center is consist of a 6-story building for rent and a 3-story building for support facilities.

Construction was complete in November last year, and footwear companies started moving in March this year.

To date, 18 companies moved in including 8 finished-product manufacturers, 4 component providers, and 6 distribution and design companies.

If 30 companies finish moving in, 300 persons will be working in the center.

A city official said, "The center provides one-stop service, contributing to the re-emergence of the footwear industry in Busan and creating jobs in the region."
