(BUSAN=Yonhap News) On July 8, Busan city announced that it selected innovative companies in the clean energy technology sector to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs and create ecosystem of the clean energy industry.

The companies are selected through document screening and on-site review, for their growth potential, innovative quality of technology, and export potential.

The city will provide the companies, along with 12 selected last year, support in commercialization of products, mini R&D, certification and performance test, and employment.

Last year, it supported KRW 150 million for 12 companies, resulting in sales increase of KRW 4.6 billion and 18 job creation.

This year, Busan city and Korea Southern Power (KOSPO) jointly support KRW 380 million.
