According to Yonhap News,

The signing of MOU to build up business partnership between Busan Port Authority and Vietnamese Hai Phong JSC was held on Nov. 7. to explore northern part of Vietnam.

Hai Phong JSC is an affiliate of state-owned enterprise VIMC, running three major terminals at the largest port in north Vietnam, Hai Phong. JSC also has maintained close ties with national cargo forwarder Heung-A Shipping Co., Ltd for years.

In celebration of the MOU signing ceremony, the vice president of JSC who will take the leadership role in Feb. next year attended to elaborate on the ‘New Port Development Plan’ officially approved by the prime minister of Vietnam. The head of Busan Port Authority said “We’re looking forward to slash shipping cost dramatically once we both find a business field to partner with as a majority of national freight shippers are using the port of Hai Phong JSC.”
