A ‘2019 Busan Crwodfunding Road Show’, the final stage of debt-based crowdfunding show cohosted by the city of Busan, Korea Securities Depository, Busan TechnoPark and Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation was held on Dec. 12 at the main office of Busan Bank. The event kicked off with a ceremony to honor prize winners, a business presentation session by a handful of startups to crowdfund or who’ve already succeeded in financing through the platform and a time to share success stories.

There was a special attendee experience program during which guests have joined a ‘mock-crowdfunding’ session based upon cryptocurrency tokens. At the lobby on the ground floor of Busan International Finance Center (BIFC), 15 startups showcased their products and services to publicize brands.

Crowdfunding refers to an act of funding for a certain project or a venture by raising a small amount of money from the public. It’s a form of crowdsourcing to help promising startups with full of potential grow into bigger ones.
