According to Yonhap News,
Busan TechnoPark announced that an association, industry-affiliated university finance sponsorship program, designed in hopes of promoting business of materials and equipment in the city of Busan, is embarking on its service from Feb. 3. Parts, materials and equipment (PME) industries are the key to cross-industry value experiences especially in the upcoming era of the fourth industrial revolution.
The move came as Seoul wants to further gear up the PME industry growth with a large amount of allocated budget worth KRW 2.1 trillion, part of measures to get over the downside risks after Tokyo has imposed retaliative trade restrictions on Korea since last summer. The association runs multiple programs to explore business development opportunities, connect bodies and initiatives involved and form networks etc, along with research work and financial support services to help local SMEs.
