BEF to launch a crowdfunding project to help social economy

Busan Embracement Fund For Social Economic Development (BEF), a consortium that consists of eight separate public institutions announced on Mar. 3 the launch of a crowdfunding project to help social enterprises.

The project, which comes to an end on Mar. 19, was designed to help social enterprises in early stage business or ready for entrepreneurship find sales network to pull up corporate profit. The projects is known for helping 13 social enterprises selling unique merchandise shoot ad campaigns for creative ideas to meet the fundraising goals, then finance the entrepreneurs. Forming a joint VC fund valued over KRW 5 billion, these public entities will support organizations who contributes to social economy by the year 2022.
