BTO to help prime the MICE industry pump
Busan Tourism Organization (BTO) announced on Jul 7 that the agency has embarked on a relief package designed to help local travel agents and MICE venue operators grappling stave off the coronavirus calamity. “The scheme particularly aims to give practical solutions for those weighed on the coronavirus-led financial burdens, caused by a series of event cancellations and postponements.” BTO said.
Potential candidates to receive the benefits are required to be those who can verify company history that goes beyond six years in the field and who’re capable enough to open an event which can accommodate over 100 guests and last more than two days.
BTO set up a plan to raise marketing funds up to KRW 5 million for each.
