Busan city to support non-contact overseas marketing process for local SMEs
The city of Busan said on Sep 7 that greater attention will be paid to non-contact overseas marketing in September by forming COVID-19 Economic Recovery Task Force and turning all sources of business marketing tools to digital, non-face-to-face interaction from conventional ones.
There are several events scheduled to be held this month alone in Busan city: a web-based trade fair for eco-friendly marine and shipbuilding technology, a webinar for having access to e-commerce in India, ASEAN buyers’ online meeting, ASIA-PACIFIC online trade show for maritime business etc, which are highly anticipated to bring 165 local enterprises based in the city and nearly 100 global partners together to be matched.
As part of remedies to overcome drawbacks of online fairs where buyers cannot visibly see and touch the products on display, the city plans to help participants send free samples for product demonstration prior to the events, while ramping up the scale further greater than what they used to be. The city governments also steps into the catalogue and brochure design process to develop effective content for the events.
