The city of Busan hosted an online pavilion to showcase technologies developed in Korea at “2020 Smart China Expo Online 2020”, which started on Sep 15-17 in the city of Chongqing. At the three day event, the city opened a three dimensional showroom where visitors can catch a glimpse of technologies up to date- Busan Eco Delta Smart City Model, which visualizes innovations of smart technologies, real time path planning to prevent traffic jam through a smart transportation system and what’s called “Smart Big Board” to figure out disaster response protocol within the city district just at a glance.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of inter-city partnership between the city of Busan and Chongqing, ever evolving into a high-tech city and the largest ICT cluster of auto industry in the Midwest of China, both took part in the event to reaffirm mutual cooperation in smart city business. At the presence of nearly 300 global tech companies and cities, the expo ran more than 550 virtual exhibition rooms this year. Under the theme of the year 2020, “Smart Innovation”, shows and forums introducing smart technologies and manufacturing skills were introduced.

The opening ceremony of the show aired live via online channel on Sep 15. The content of Busan smart city virtual pavilion is uploaded onto the official website of SCE OL 2020: https://www.smartchina-expo.cn.
