The city of Busan opened a video conference inviting ASEAN buyers on Sep 23-24 to help local enterprises further solidify contact free business partnership with ASEAN communities. The two day event was held online at the presence of 70 small businesses based in Busan city and their 60 counterparts from Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

A city official said the webinar is a breakthrough, designed to help local businesses run non-face-to- face marketing campaign, expanding their global sales channels online in the time of COVID-19.

ASEAN represents the world’s sixth largest economy, forming a single trade bloc. The attendees of this year’s video conference all came from member states of ASEAN community.

Unlocking the potential of the single market, each member country boast their competitive edge: Vietnam with high growth rate, Malaysia with large share of middle-class, Singapore with the biggest online business in South East Asia and Indonesia with the largest population among the neighbors.
