According to Yonhap News,

The city of Busan opened a non-face-to-face virtual meeting room, information desk and studio in Bexco, which will take the role of a MICE (MICE is an acronym for the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions tourism segment) industry hub. They hosted an opening ceremony on Nov 18 to commemorate the commencement of the service. The construction cost for the project is reported to total KRW 860 million in total.

The information desk settled into the first floor of Bexco’s auditorium, alongside other amenities such as business rooms, lounge and tourist information center letting visitors get to know more on the city and its MICE industry. In connection with neighboring facilities such as conference hall, hotels or theaters, the information center is highly anticipated to be a local platform where to find all necessary amenities to enjoy. Guides proficient in foreign languages are on standby, providing visitors with comprehensive range of information and services at the center.

Virtual meeting rooms and studios were located in the first basement level to meet rising demand for non-face-to-face engagement brought by the recent outbreak of the coronavirus. Users can take part in web-based seminars or contact-free digital events, running product demonstration or investment pitch events in these spaces.

Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) also started to pitch in stepping into the process of design and production of marketing materials to PR local SMEs whose business has already been curtailed by the pandemic by setting up a marketing center, what’s called ‘K-Studio’ at the corner of Bexco.
