Busan City held the 7th International Conference to attract the 2030 Busan World Expo online on Dec 22. This international conference will share the future value that humankind should aim for and what’s the World Expo meant to be under the topic of the future world exposition in the face of the current COVID-19 crisis that the world is encountering.

The expo was co-hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and 2030 Busan World Expo committee. For the first session of the event, Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary General for the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) delivered a keynote speech on ‘World Expo- How does it influence the host city’, followed by the former Secretary of General of the United Nations, Ban Ki Moon who stood at the podium to share thoughts on ‘Changing future of humanity and World Expo’.

Expo Talk Show was held to raise public awareness of the world expo in the second session. To avoid any possible COVID-19 infections caused by in-person transaction, this year’s show was held online.
