Busan city to provide funding package to help clean energy technology developers

On Mar 2, the city of Busan announced the launch of its business support project partnering with Korea Southern Power Co.,Ltd. and Busan Technopark to foster locally based innovative companies developing green, sustainable energy technologies. The project, newly reformed this year, entails the provision of KRW 530 million in cash grants delivered up to KRW 50 million for 20 possible candidates with full growth potential.

The funding package applies to business developing energy efficiency or renewable energy technologies which generate power from photovoltaic, wind or hydrogen energy sources, and the coverage ranges from KRW 10 million to KRW 50 million.

Possible candidates to apply for the program are required to be small and mid-sized businesses headquartered in Busan city and to show valid proof of its own technology officially authorized (or commercially accredited).
