By picking out potential candidates to receive the aid package, the city helps host seven international exhibitions with budgets allocated for the year 2021 (KRW 700 million).

the city hopes to award high marks and select the candidates passionate about keeping focused on the long-term goals on the event planning business and those capable enough to unrestrictedly switch the format of events from offline to online, or vice versa. Despite the lingering ramifications from the COVID-19 induced recession which weighed on the MICE industry, the city of Busan successfully helped host 14 exhibitions and five international conferences last year.
