According to Yonhap News,
The city of Busan announced on May 3 the launch of its business support program, designed to help locally based small and mid-sized businesses make better use of social media marketing and create 3D models and VR views.
The social media marketing support program allows businesses to leverage the reach of social influencers who’ve built a large following and strong network as a means to shift traditional sales channel into online, e-commerce and to further expand their market presence in Southeast Asian countries.
Extending not only to the Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia, but to Thai and Indonesia, the city provides the marketing services to 10 local SMEs. The other aid program for immersive image production helps 15 content creators use virtual reality imaging as a prototyping tool, which gives better access to a detailed 3D rendering or modeling to manufacturers.
Such services are likely to enable businesses to create interactive 360° degree VR and panoramic images transferred via devices for product display and virtual tour on services. They can download or upload copies of data files undeterred by the internet connection speed and let customers experience the ultra hyper-realistic 3D views when showcasing products.
The application deadline for the service is Apr 21. Anyone interested in the program can click on trade.busan.go.kr and submit the application form.
