A power semiconductor wafer factory is to be built in Radiation Medical Science Industrial Complex in Gijang-gun, Busan.

Busan-si said on June 16 that it signed Investment MOU with BTOZ Korea to build a factory to produce power semiconductor wafers in Radiation Medical Science Industrial Complex in Gijang-gun, Busan.

A power semiconductor is applied to various industries including electric products, automobiles, and robots. With the growth of electric vehicles, demand for power semiconductor has been on the rise.

BTOZ Korea is a small but strong company with a number of patents in medical equipment, mainly supplying medical X-ray sensors.
