The plan to develop the Centum 2 district in Haeundae-gu, Busan into a Busan Techno Valley is set to begin in earnest.
Busan-si announced on October 11 that it will post a bidding notice on October 12-25 to place an order for the commission service of presenting Busan Techno Valley master plan.
The service will be carried out for 6 months for 570,000 ㎡ land of industrial facilities in the Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex in Centum 2 district.
It is to carry out demand survey, project environment analysis, establishment of project's basic direction, strategy, and detailed plan, and feasibility analysis to develop Centum 2 district into Busan Techno Valley.
It will also review site layout plans by industry, and ways to attract and select tenant companies.
Busan-si added that the service would include fostering an innovative startup hub centered on Southern area led by Centum 2 district, to overcome the limitations of the innovative startup ecosystem focused on the capital area.
The city of Busan also announced that to overcome the limitations of the innovative start-up ecosystem centered on the metropolitan area, the service would include fostering an innovative start-up hub in the southern region centered on the Centum 2 district.
