The Pan-Yellow Sea Rim Economy and Technology Exchange Conference, jointly held by Industry Ministries of Korea, China, and Japan will be held in Busan next year.

Busan-si announced on November 18 that it had attracted the 20th Conference in Busan.

It was held for the first time in 2001 as an international conference on economy and industry areas, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE) of Korea and Ministry of Commerce of China, and the Kyushu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.

Korea, China, and Japan have facilitated exchanges in trade, investment, industrial technologies and regions through the Conference.

The trilateral trade volume between Korea, China, and Japan increased almost 3.9 times, from USD 163.8 billion (KRW 193.5 trillion) in 2001 to USD 638.1 billion (KRW 753.9 trillion) last year.

Along with the Conference in November next year, there will be also Korea-Japan (Kyushu) Economic Exchange Meeting that pursues investment attraction to Korea and Kyushu, Japan and people-to-people exchanges.
