According to Yonhap News,

The 'Busan Chamber of Commerce&Industry (BCCI) Startup Support Platform' has been formed to support the investment attraction of startups in Busan with technological prowess and growth potential.

The BCCI held an event called 'Startup Day 99 degrees' in BCCI building on December 3.

Starting with this event, the BCCI will hold the Startup Day on a regular basis to play a role as a platform for startups.

Eight startups with advanced industrial technologies, such as AI (Artificial Intelligence), IoT (Internet of Things), software, new material development, and robot manufacturing, participated in the event, presenting IR to about 170 heads of major organizations and business people.

During the networking session held following the IR stage presentation, startup CEOs asked the local economy ▲ that local companies adopt start-up products and solutions first, ▲ invest in technology development and commercialization, and ▲ establish a startup collaboration model with established companies.

After the startup IR, prizes were awarded to promising startups, such as the grand prize (KRW 5 million in prize money), the award of excellence (KRW 3 million), and the innovation award (two teams, KRW 1 million each) based on votes from participants and review by the expert committee.

The grand prize was given to JK Tech, while award of excellence went to Food Pang, and the innovation prize went to NGM and NDSoft.

About 120 representatives of SMEs and second-generation business owners who are planning to diversify their business attended the event, exploring opportunities to invest in startups.
