According to Yonhap News,

A facility to support blockchain technology related start-ups and business establishment will be opening up.

Busan-si announced on January 8 that a 'Blockchain Specialized Venture Convention (B-Space)' will be open on the 21st and 22nd floors of the Busan International Finance Center in Munhyeon-dong, Nam-gu, Busan in March.

Busan Technopark is commissioned to operate B-Space, which will have space for 19 startups and preliminary startups using blockchain technology to move in, a common work space, and a space (test bed) where blockchain technology can be tested.

It is planned to support up to KRW 3 million rent per month, and various support for service development and commercialization for the tenant companies, which will be selected through a public contest this month.

In Busan, 11 areas of 110.65 ㎢ in Munhyeon, Centum, and Dongsam innovation districts were designated as a block chain regulatory free zone in July 2019, where various attempts have been made for the development and commercialization of block chain technology.

The demonstration works of 'real estate collective investment and profit sharing service' and 'medical personal information (my data) non-face-to-face platform service' began on December 15 last year.

Busan-si also plans to open a big data innovation center in Centum Technology Startup Town in Haeundae-gu around June to lay a foundation for discovering and analyzing business models using the vast data collected and secured by the city.
