Companies are lining up to move into the blockchain enterprise support facility, scheduled to open in Busan blcokchain special zone.

Busan City and Busan Technopark said on March 1 that 'B-Space', a block chain business establishment and startup support facility located on the 21st to 22nd floors of the Busan International Financial Center (BIFC), will be opened this month.

B-Space has a net rentable area of 1,014㎡ and consists of 19 spaces including 5 rooms for 4-6 people, 6 rooms for 8-10 people, and 8 test-bed rooms for 2 people.

Ahead of the opening of B-Space, they received applications for occupant companies last month. 55 companies applied for occupancy, recording a competition ratio of 3.67 to 1.

Among the companies applying for occupancy, it is known that blockchain companies located in the metropolitan area are even willing to move their headquarters to Busan to be occupants of B-Space.

Busan Techno Park is set to form an evaluation committee to select final 15 companies by evaluating the blockchain technology development and commercialization plans of the applicant companies.

Selected companies will receive up to 80-90% support of rent.

The city will support work spaces such as independent office·collaborative spaces, technology·service development labs, and customized training·mentoring programs for up to three years.
