According to Pulse by Maeil Business News Korea,

South Korea’ biggest biannual auto show will return early June this year in Busan with concept models of six finished vehicles brands from home and abroad and possibly premier the next version in Hyundai EV brand Ioniq.

According to the Busan International Motor Show 2022 organizer, the country’s biannual auto exhibition will be held at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (Bexco) in Busan from June 15 to 24. Previous event in 2020 was cancelled due to the virus situation.

Under the slogan of “Next Mobility, A Celebration,” six automakers from home and abroad will showcase their vehicles and hold various events at the show. On the list are Korea’s Hyundai Motor, Kia and Genesis, together with foreign names of BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce.

Hyundai Motor is speculated to premier Ioniq 6 all-electric model on Hyundai Motor Group’s EV-dedicated platform E-GMP due to be out in the second half of the year.

Among non-carmakers SK Telecom will showcase its urban air mobility for the first time in Korea.

Car of the Year will be awarded for the first time as well.

Visitors will be able to enjoy various experience events at outdoor booths and the second exhibition center such as new car driving, micro EV driving, offload vehicle experience and three-wheel motorcycle driving.

Tickets will be available online on websites of Bexco, Naver, Yanolja and Interpark.
