The Busan Metropolitan Government announced on September 6 that it has sent IR guideline letters to 1,000 excellent companies in the manufacturing and knowledge service industries located in the Seoul metropolitan area.

The city explained that this letter is intended to attract the attention of small but strong companies with high growth potential in such fields as secondary batteries and mobility, and to discover companies willing to invest in earnest.

The letter introduces Busan's attractive investment environment and a company-tailored support system. Details such as requirements for applying for subsidies and special cases for support can also be found on the website of the Busan Metropolitan Government.

In addition to local investment promotion subsidies of up to KRW 33.3 billion, the city also supports various investment subsidies and incentives by raising fund of KRW 178 billion, the largest scale in the country.

The city attracted KRW 3 trillion worth of investment last year, reaching an all-time high. Externally, it has proven to have an attractive investment environment, by being selected as an excellent local government for local investment promotion projects.

The city will also hold an IR briefing session for more than 100 companies in the Seoul metropolitan area at the Kensington Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, on October 11.
