Busan-si to invest KRW 2.2 bn in a project to support business foundation in the maritime and fishery industry
On February 13, Busan-si announced that it will push for a "Project to Support Business Establishment and Investment Support forthe Maritime and Fisheries Industry" by investing KRW 2.2 billion in total.
This project, organized by Busan-si and implemented by Busan Techno Park, aims to discover and support prospective founders and promising companies through business establishment, corporate training, and marketing to foster the fisheries indnustry as a globally competitive industry.
According to the city, the sales of companies participating in this project grew by 9.86 percent on average last year, with the results of 8 new startups and creation of 300 new jobs.
This year, this project will provide customized support throughout the entire process of corporate life-cycle, encompassing startups, SMEs and middle market enterprises based on 3-stage support platform of business establishment, growth, and investment.
The city will give project briefing sessions on February 14-16 and make public announcement of the project from February 28.
