On June 14, Busan-si announced that it signed an MOU to revitalize the high-tech based composite material industry with four organizations on the previous day.

The signatories to the MOU are JEC, Busan Techno Park, Korea Carbon Industry Promotion Agency and Korea Carbon Nano Industry Association, which are non-profit organizations fostering the composite material application sectors.

The signatories promised to establish an organic cooperative system to lay the foundation for the growth of Busan's future new industries and advance Busan's major industries, and create the ecosystem for the composite material industry.

Under the agreement, Busan-si will focus on establishing policies and discovering projects to create the ecosystem, while JEC supports events aiming at revitalizing the composite material industry and attracts companies.

Busan Techno Park will plan events to revitalize the composite material industry, while the Korea Carbon Industry Promotion Agency and the Korea Carbon Nano Industry Association will support the development of the world-class composite material key technologies.
