The "World Climate Industry Expo 2024 (WCE)", showcasing the latest technologies and policies to respond to the global climate crisis, will be held in Busan next month.
According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Busan Metropolitan Government on August 17, the "World Climate Industry Expo", held for the second time this year, will be held at BEXCO in Haeundae-gu on September 4-6, co-hosted with the International Energy Agency (IEA).
This year, 500 companies will participate in various events under the theme of "Ushering in a Carbon-Free Energy (CFE) Era with Climate Technology" to jointly respond to the climate crisis. Various events including exhibitions, bilateral talks, seminars, forums, and conferences will be held for energy security and the spread of carbon-free energy (CFE).
At the opening ceremony, Executive Director Fatih Birol of IEA, and Distinguished Professor James Bacchus of International Studies, University of Central Florida will deliver keynote speeches.
Various government departments and agencies will be engaged in hosting events.
The IEA, the MOTIE, and the CFU will organize Joint Sessions and CFE Initiatives, and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will organize the CFE Leader Round Table.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) will organize a Future Mobility Session, the Presidential Commission on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth will organize a Green Industry Session, and the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) will organize a Climate Technology Symposium.
The exhibition hall will feature Carbon-free Energy Hall, Future Energy Hall, Future Mobility Hall, Weather & Climate Industry Hall, and Environment & Energy Hall among others.
