According to Yonhap News,

The Busan Metropolitan Government announced that it will hold an IR session at the Glad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul by inviting about 200 people, including high-tech companies and potential investors located in the Seoul metropolitan area.

Busan's Mayor will host the IR session to actively attract corporate investment.

Starting with the signing of an investment MOU, the event will proceed in the order of sharing investment attraction results and best practices this year, introducing one of the nation's largest investment incentives, and talking with businessmen presided over by the city's Mayor.

The city will call for investment in Busan, focusing on key investment areas such as semiconductors, finance, and secondary batteries.

It will focus on promoting the "Strategy to Pursue a Busan-type Opportunity Development Special Zone" to secure demand for investment in advance and attract leading companies.

Four companies including Nongshim, IEN Hanchang, Sign Telecom, and Korea Firstec, will sign an investment agreement to invest KRW 252.5 billion in Busan and create about 310 new jobs.

Nongshim, a key affiliate of Nongshim Group and Korea's leading ramen producer, plans to expand an "export-only production plant" capable of producing 500 million ramen per year by investing more than KRW 220 billion on 51,000 ㎡ of the Noksan plant site in Busan.

IEN Hanchang, a Busan-based local company specializing in transformer manufacturing and exporting, will invest KRW 30 billion by 2026 to expand its production line at its headquarters in Gijang-gun to keep up with a surge in transformers order, driven by the expansion of renewable and nuclear energy.

Sign Telecom, an IT company engaged in smart displays, plans to establish a new Busan branch by 2027, while Korea Firstec, a company specializing in platform establishment, plans to build a new base in Munhyeon Financial Complex by 2026.
