According to Yonhap News,

The oceans ministry said Monday it will spare no effort to successfully prepare for a global maritime conference scheduled to be held in the country this April, providing a venue for countries and civic societies to discuss the future of the sector.

The 10th Our Ocean Conference (OOC) will be held under the theme "Our Ocean, Our Action" for three days from April 28 in the southern port city of Busan. It is expected to draw up to 2,000 participants, including government delegates, from around 50 countries, according to the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.

"The country aims to emerge as a pivotal nation in the global maritime and fisheries sectors by successfully hosting the 10th OOC," Oceans Minister Kang Do-hyung said during a second round of meetings for the event's preparation.

The annual event, which began in 2014, focuses on sharing ideas on a wide range of issues related to the ocean environment, including the maritime economy and security.

"During the event, representatives from governments, international organizations and civic societies will engage in discussions and make pledges to address challenges in the maritime sector," the ministry said.
