According to Yonhap News,

Busan-si and Busan TechnoPark (TP) have decided to actively support local medical device companies in expanding their domestic and international markets.

To this end, Busan-si and other stakeholders have increased their budget from KRW 450 million last year to 650 million KRW this year, with plans for a significant further increase in the next year.

They set up "Busan Joint Pavilion" for the first time at the 40th KIMES 2025, held on March 20-23 at COEX, yielding tangible results.

Eight companies held about 150 export consultations and concluded contracts worth USD 120,000 (approximately KRW 170 million).

Mika Medical introduced the needle-free syringe 'COMFORT-IN' and transacted over USD 30,000 USD with countries like Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan, with consultation amounts exceeding USD 1 million.

Additionally, Shinhwa Medical showcased its multifunctional healing capsule machine and spinal treatment device 'Auto Healing Bed,' achieving KRW 100 million in sales during the exhibition period and is negotiating export deals with companies from Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Kwangwon Meditech gained attention with its gait trainer, 'Smart Step,' achieving approximately KRW 50 million in sales on-site and is in discussions to sign supply contracts and MOUs with buyers from Thailand, Honh Kong, and Mongol.

Busan TP stated, "By supporting the Busan Joint Pavilion for the first time at KIMES 2025, we were able to showcase the excellent technology of Busan medical device companies to both domestic and international markets," and added, "We will continue to support the expansion of domestic and international markets for local medical companies."
