According to Yonhap News,

The city of Busan will hold a Capital Region Investment Promotion Seminar on September 25th at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeouido.

The event is designed to promote Busan’s outstanding industrial competitiveness and attract investment from companies based in the Seoul metropolitan area.

The seminar will begin with the signing of investment MOUs, followed by sessions introducing Busan’s business-friendly environment, the nation’s most extensive investment incentive packages, and industrial complexes optimized for investment. The program will conclude with a dialogue session hosted by Mayor Park Heong-joon with participating business leaders.

Busan will particularly focus on attracting leading and promising companies in sectors such as ICT, smart shipbuilding, and robotics, including those related to the Centum 2 District High-Tech Industrial Complex, which is currently under development.

The city will also promote opportunities for companies interested in moving into Eco Delta City in Gangseo District, which is currently offering special discounted leasing terms.

In addition, Busan will introduce its newly revised subsidy policy that provides unprecedented incentives for the knowledge service industry, following recent amendments to municipal ordinances.

During the seminar, investment agreements will be signed with Hyundai Department Store, Hanwha Power Systems, and Socialbean.

These companies plan to invest a total of KRW 759.3 billion in Busan, creating 2,226 new jobs.

Since the launch of the current municipal administration, Busan has achieved over KRW 16 trillion in cumulative investment attraction as of September this year.
