Busan and Fukuoka, Japan to promote exchanges between startups
A program to introduce startups from Busan and Fukuoka, Japan, and provide opportunities for collaboration and investment will be actively promoted.
The Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (BCCEI) announced on October 7th that it successfully hosted the "Plug In: Fukuoka #2" event in Fukuoka, Japan, from September 25-26, in collaboration with the local developer, Fukuoka Jisho.
The event saw the participation of eight startups from both countries, along with representatives from bio-venture capital, corporate venture capital (CVC), large corporations, mid-sized companies, and research institutions, totaling around 80 attendees.
Participants engaged in startup pitching, one-on-one consultations, and exchange programs with industry and investment professionals to discuss potential collaboration opportunities.
BCCEI plans to hold a follow-up program in November in Busan, where Japanese startups and relevant stakeholders will be invited to explore various forms of collaboration.
BCCEI is also serving as the "Japan Entry Hub Center" on behalf of national Centers for Creative Economy & Innovation that aim to enter the Japanese market.
