(CHUNGJU=Yonhap News) North Chungcheong Province and Chungju City signed a KRW 322 billion investment agreement with W-SCOPE, a foreign-invested company, on February 22.
W-SCOPE will invest KRW 322 billion by 2022 in building a separation film production facility for rechargeable batteries on 165,000 ㎡ of land at the Chungju Megapolis. The new facility will create 650 new jobs.
North Chungcheong Province, which plans to establish a foreign investment zone (330,000㎡) in Chungju, will attract more than two foreign-invested companies in the first half of the year and develop the Chungju Megapolis into a global high-tech industrial complex.
