Two Health Food Manufacturers to Invest KRW 30 Bn in Chungju

(CHUNGJU=Yonhap News) Chungju City of North Chungcheong Province signed an MOU for investment of KRW 30 billion with health functional food suppliers Mediogen and Hanil Green.

A probiotics manufacturer Mediogen plans to relocate its plant from Jecheon to the Megapolis Industrial Complex in West Chungju New Town and hire 103 new employees by investing KRW 19.5 billion through 2019.

Hanil Green, a producer of red ginseng and ginseng health supplements, will invest KRW 13 billion to move its manufacturing facility from Eumseong County to the Chungju Megapolis by 2020. The company's expansion is expected to create 80 new jobs.

Chungju City pledged to provide administrative supports for relocation and business operation of the two companies.
