CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

(CHUNGJU=Yonhap News) Chungju City in North Chungcheong Province announced that it completed infrastructure construction for the fruit production complex in Songgang District located in Sancheok County, Chungju City.

The construction was carried out to build basic facilities for production such as water supply system, irrigation ditches, and farm roads.

Injected with KRW 970 million of project fund, 8,707 meter of water supply pipes, 795 meter of ditch, and 843 meter of farm road were built for around 60 apple and peach orchards in Songgang District.

Songgang District was selected for the project thanks to the region's clustered fruit farms, advanced shipment system through the agricultural products distribution center, as well as the fact that the project was well received by the local community.

The district is Chungju's second fruit production complex following the Yongpo District in Angseong-myeon. Chungju plans to build another such complex at the Hanam District in Noeun-myeon within this year.
