According to Yonhap News,

(CHEONGJU=Yonhap News) Local governments and organizations in North Chungcheong Province have joined hands to support the operation of the Chungbuk Contents Korea Lab, established with the aim of developing a wide range of cultural content.

The local governments of North Chungcheong Province and Cheongju City met with 14 organizations including the Chungbuk Office of Education, Cheongju National University of Education, Chungbuk National College, Cheongju Cultural Center Association and Chungbuk Citizen Foudation, on August 31 at the Advanced Cultural Industry Cluster in Cheongju, and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to that end.

Based on the agreement, the educational institutions will cooperate on developing and operating creative youth learning programs, launch youth creative talent cultivation projects, and develop specialized local content for educational purposes.

Culture and arts organizations have agreed to push forward with a specialized storytelling content project, while civic groups will support the growth of social enterprises and cooperatives, and find good programs for citizen participation.

The Chungbuk Contents Korea Lab, which aims to further specialize local content and foster a creative cultural ecosystem, opened in May after being selected as a public project by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
