(JINCHEON=Yonhap News) The Jincheon County in Chungcheongbuk-do has set out to establish a new multipurpose community center to improve the settlement condition of the new residents of the Innovation City.
According to the county government’s announcement on March 8, the county will invest KRW 20 billion to create a three-story multipurpose community center in the Innovation City in Deoksan-myeon by 2021.
The center, once completed, will feature an entrepreneurship support center, an employment support center, a sports arena, a daycare center, and a center for seniors’ recreation and leisure.
The county expects to start the construction of the center in the first half of next year at the earliest, once the national funding is finalized and the executive design is confirmed.
A county official explained: “We will do our best to improve the daycare, education, cultural activities, and sports environment for the new residents of the Innovation City.”
The Chungbuk Innovation City, established in Deoksan-myeon of Jincheon and Maengdong-myeon of Eumseong County, plans to attract 42,000 residents and settlers by 2020.
