According to Yonhap News,
(EUMSEONG=Yonhap News) Eumseong County will spend the next 5 years regenerating Eumseong-eup.
The budget for the regeneration project will total KRW 38.4 billion, including KRW 23 billion in national expenditure that will be divided between residential and urban areas.
Upon approval, the county will start with improving low-rise residential areas, alleyway maintenance, building convenience facilities and basic infrastructure to activate commercial activity and increase the town's competitiveness.
Eumseong County signed 14 business support agreements with public agencies, companies and social groups in the region to carry out the urban regeneration project successfully.
The agreements will entail cooperation in the sharing of information, mutual support, site research and review as well as project operations and management planning among the parties.
