(YEONGDONG=Yonhap News) The construction of the Yeongdong Industrial Complex, which is located near Yeongdong Interchange on Gyeongbu Expressway in Hangok-ri, Yongsan-myeon, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, was completed on November 12, five years after its construction commenced in November 2013.

A total of KRW 98.1 billion, including state funds, was invested to build the industrial complex spanning 999,413 ㎡, of which 602,600 ㎡ are up for sale.

Twenty companies, including Kimchi producer Seonmi Food, have signed a contract to move into the complex. The sales rate is 62.4 percent.

The complex, which has easy access from other regions in the country within 2 hours, boasts of an affordable selling price of KRW 300,000 per 3.3 ㎡.

Nearby, the government is building around 200 residential units under the Happy House project for an industrial complex with a target date of 2020.

The county is attracting robust companies by offering extraordinary conditions such as a one percent discount for a lump sum payment or 10-year, interest-free installment plans.

“The Yeongdong Industrial Park will become the main pillar that will sustain the local economy together with the nearby Hwanggan Logistics Complex,” said Yeongdong-gun County Governor Park Se-bok.
