(BOEUN=Yonhap News)Boeun county signed a MOU with Cheongju University on February 13 to reinvigorate the drone industry.

Boeun county received approval for designating the area of 28.3㎢ around Sinjeong-ri, Sanoe-myeon as a drone flight area from Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in 2016 and has been building a drone test range with KRW 6 billion investment.

The county has been growing related industries by making such efforts as opening a permanent test ground for ultra-light aerial vehicle including drone at Sports Park in front of the county office.

A county official said "we will increase exchanges so that this agreement would become a model of government-academic cooperation leading a fourth industrial revolution at the forefront".
