(YEONGDONG=Yonhap News) A wine tunnel in Yeongdong-gun, Chungbuk, surpassed the 80,000 mark of visitors in 10 months since opening.

On August 8, Yeongdong-gun announced that the number of visitors to Wine Tunnel in Rainbow Healing Town, Maecheon-ri, Yeongdong-eup, opened on October 11, was counted to 83,500.

Yeongdong-gun invested KRW 13.5 billion in the wine tunnel, 420 meters in length, 4-12 meters in width, and 4-8 meters in height, equipped with display, storage, and tasting rooms, as well as cultural event space and restaurants.

The wine culture hall where VR can be experienced, and a photo zone in which wine-related sculpture is set as background are also available.

There is also a wine experience hall where visitors can taste a variety of wines.

A county official said ,"With increasing number of visitors, the wine tunnel has grown into Korea's best wine culture space," adding that "We will develop and run programs for satisfaction of visitors."
