Foreign investment zone will be created within Seongbuon Industrial Complex in Eumseong, Chungbuk, slated for the end of
next year.
Chungbuk-do explained this plan at a roundtable with representatives from foreign invested companies at Provincial
government office on September 19.
The scale of foreign investment zone will be about 330,000 sq. meters within Seongbon industrial complex of 2 million sq.
meters.
The province plans to go ahead with designation in the first half of next year after review by the Ministry of Trade, Industry
and Energy.
The province has three foreign investment zones in Ochang, Jincheon, and Chungju, which are occupying 1.249 million sq.
meters in total.
19 companies producing core parts and materials such as semiconductor are located here.
