A project helping farmers hit by the coronavirus crisis is now gaining positive feedback among customers, willing to open their wallet for a package of locally grown agro products with lower price tag. Jincheon-gun announced on Apr. 18 that the grocery packs are now traded at KRW 20,000 at www.jcmall.net, an online marketplace run by the municipal authority.
The grocery pack which consists of four kilos of organically produced agro products; green onion, shiitake, tofu, spinach and bean sprouts are offered 20 percent discount with free of charge delivery.
Jincheon-gun also pushed for another project, opening a special venue where customers can buy and help flower farmers. The same project goes for Goesan-gun, which recently decided to extend the service by the end of this month.
